FAQs

What conditions do you see?

As an orthopedic and pelvic health therapists, I treat anything and everything that relates to the musculoskeletal system —that’s bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves. Examples include:

  • Tendinitis

  • Strains/Sprains

  • Osteoporosis

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Sacroiliac Joint (SIJ) Pain

  • Hip Impingement

  • Lumbar (Low Back) Pain

  • Pelvic Health conditions:

    • Bowel and Bladder Disorders

    • Perineal Pain

    • Dysmenorrhea (Pain with Menstruation)

    • Dyspareunia (Pain with Intercourse)

    • Vulvodynia + Vestibulitis

The above list is by no means an exhaustive. To connect to me directly about your specific condition or issue email rtg@ryannetanae.com.

How often and how long will I need to come?

It depends. It’s important that your program honor you and all of your life circumstances. While we always want to meet the body where it’s at, there are additional factors to consider —primarily time and money. When we make recommendations for care, we take this into consideration and work with each individual client to find solutions that work for them.

When will I see or feel changes?

Most likely in the first session —definitely by the third session. What!? I know, crazy. It's not magic, it's science. Our bodies are very plastic —meaning we can change and adapt. Our routines and habits are what make these changes much harder to maintain. Learn more about how our HABITS affect this cycle.

Are ONLINE sessions as effective as IN-PERSON?

Yes! And no. IN-PERSON includes manual or hands-on work. If you are experiencing significant mechanical dysfunctions or have an acute injury, IN-PERSON is for you. ONLINE is perfect if you've been experiencing chronic pain or dysfunction— especially if you've tried various therapies. We still address mechanical dysfunctions, just using different tools!

Important to note: if you choose to try ONLINE and truly are not a candidate for this work, I will absolutely refer you to a local therapist for IN-PERSON care.

Billings + Logistics

Why are you out-of-network with insurances?

As an out-of-network provider, my services are not limited in number of sessions; sessions are not limited in length; and all sessions are one-on-one for a minimum of 60 minutes.

Our intention at the Body School is to create lasting change rather than a quick fix. As out-of-network providers we’re able to create unique treatment plans, specific to the needs of each individual client.

Aware that maintaining an out-of-network status leaves our services less accessible to some, we’ve created a Finacial Hardship Program —inquire about this income-based billing option at billing@ryanntanae.com.

Can I use my FSA (Flex Spending Account) or HSA (Health Savings Account) to pay for services?

Absolutely! Learn more about billing + logistics.

Do you take Medicare?

The Body School/Ryanne Tanae Glasper is not a participating provider with medicare.
